Processing Plants

Nicolor plant (formerly South plant)

The Nicolor plant uses the standard carbon-in-pulp (CIP) process and has a capacity of 180,000 tonnes per month. Since the 2017 takeover of the Kopanang mine and West gold plant, Nicolor has been dedicated to treating surface material from Buffels, along with toll material from third parties.

West gold plant

This plant uses a carbon-in-leach (CIL) process and has a monthly capacity of some 160,000 tonnes. Following the 2017 acquisition of the Kopanang mine and the West gold plant, reef material from both Tau Lekoa and Kopanang is treated at this facility.
